MoDOT Union Road closing:  Union Road will continue to be closed from Spring Drive to the northbound Interstate 55 on ramp for bridge construction.  It is expected to reopen by the fall of 2010.  The northbound and southbound left lanes of I-55 will remain closed for construction of the center bridge columns through the next couple months.  The northbound I-55 on-ramp will close at 9 a.m. on July 12. and remain closed until late September.

 A new collaborative partnership to assist the poor and needy in supplying basic food needs to the Affton Community (unofficial estimate is 7500-8500 persons). Deposit old newspapers, shopping catalogs, computer paper, Fax paper, office paper, envelopes, non-confidential junk mail, and magazines at the yellow and green dumpsters on their parking lots. NO plastic, glass, food wrap, tissue products, phone books, or cardboard. 
You can also drop off aluminum cans at Bayless and Seven Holy Founders schools.
Salem Lutheran School currently offers certificates for sale to grocery stores, restaurants, and retail stores in varied amounts. A percentage of the proceeds is then returned to the school.
