MoDOT Union Road closing: Union
Road will continue to be closed from Spring Drive to the northbound
Interstate 55 on ramp for bridge construction.
It is expected to reopen by the fall of 2010.
The northbound and southbound left lanes of I-55
will remain closed for construction of the center bridge columns through
the next couple months. The
northbound I-55 on-ramp will close at 9 a.m. on July 12. and
remain closed until late September. |

to explore and understand the causes of the pro and antislavery conflict.
"A Room Divided" takes the opportunity to expand on a critical

portrayals of individuals from the past. This year's program, "1860:
A Year of Decisions and Dissent," brings historic figures to life as
they discuss the challenges facing St. Louis and the Grant family in the
months before the election of Abraham Lincoln as president. Although
tickets for the program are free, space is limited and reservations are
required; they may be made by calling the Visitor Center at (314)842-3298
ext. 245, or by stopping by the park. The program is not recommended for
children under 5. Seating will be available on a first-come, first-served
basis.

A new collaborative partnership to assist the poor and needy in supplying
basic food needs to the Affton Community (unofficial estimate is 7500-8500
persons). Affiliated Member Churches: Affton Christian Church, Cure of Ars, Our Lady of Providence,
Rooftop Community Church, Saint Dominic Savio,
Saint George, Saint Mark, Salem Lutheran, Seven Holy Founders, Zion
Methodist, and St. Simon the Apostle. If you would like to help, or if you have a need, please call

Do you recycle?
Drop off your recycling at any school in the Affton or Bayless area.
Deposit old newspapers, shopping catalogs, computer paper, Fax paper, office paper,
envelopes, non-confidential junk mail, and
magazines at the yellow and green dumpsters on their parking
lots. NO plastic, glass, food wrap, tissue products, phone books,
or cardboard.
You can also drop off aluminum cans at Bayless and Seven Holy
Founders schools.
